The Importance of a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)

Technological advancements and infrastructural developments are at the forefront of global progress and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree is vital in cultivating the minds that drive this progress. This degree equips students with technical knowledge and fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative skills necessary for addressing the complex challenges of the modern world.

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded to a student who has completed a course of study in the field of engineering. The duration of this course in M. S. Engineering College, Bangalore is four years and the exams accepted are Joint Entrance Examination – Main, formerly All India Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE Main), Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental College of Karnataka Undergraduate
Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET) and Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET).

Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four-year B.E. four-year degree should have passed the two years of pre-university examinations (Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science as optional subjects) conducted by the Pre-University Board of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Visvesvaraya Technological University and should have obtained 45% marks and above in the optional subjects. The B.E. curriculum at MSEC includes a combination of theoretical and practical courses – specialized courses in their

chosen engineering discipline. Students can choose from various courses such as:
1. Computer Science Engineering
2. Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineering
3. Electronics  Communication Engineering
4. Information Science Engineering
5. Mechanical Engineering
6. Civil Engineering
